Mr. Steve Feldman is the Chicago Office Managing Partner of the law firm of Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP. Mr. Feldman specializes in complex intellectual property litigation and counseling involving patents, trade secrets, trademarks and unfair competition, and copyrights. Mr. Feldman’s experience encompasses litigation, licensing and counseling involving energy and alternative fuel technologies, ethanol processing, solar cells, turbines, high brightness LEDs and alternative lighting technologies. Mr. Feldman has negotiated and overseen large-scale patent development and licensing programs in a number of these areas. He also regularly assists clients in evaluating and valuing patent portfolios in connection with acquisitions and joint development arrangements. Mr. Feldman’s experience additionally encompasses a number of other technical areas including semiconductor lasers, memory storage devices, metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and coatings; pharmaceuticals, life sciences and medical devices including bio-materials, medical diagnostics and assays, medical imagers, ultrasonic imaging systems, healthcare management tools, surgical and dental devices; and a host of other technologies including jet engine and aircraft related parts and systems, rare-earth magnets, transmission devices and receivers, computer hard disk drives and brushless DC motors, computer source code, and call center/E-commerce technology. Mr. Feldman received a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a J.D. with honors from George Washington University.
