ISEN is the primary hub of energy and sustainability communication at Northwestern University. Beyond lectures, symposia and activities sponsored by ISEN each year, the ISEN web site will be a place where you can find a summary of the many outreach activities offered by a wide array of energy and sustainability departments, programs and centers here at the university. You will also be able to stay abreast of activities and programs in the local Evanston and Chicago communities as well a growing number of national and international energy and sustainability events.

On Jan. 29-30, 2013, ISEN co-sponsored an electricity symposium with the Kellogg School of Management. The workshop brought together regulators, academics, consumers and representatives from industry with an interest in electricity markets. Conference topics addressed the hurdles faced the market and was a follow-up event to the conference held May 4-5, 2012.

On October 16, 2012, New York Times reporter Justin Gillis spoke at the McCormick Tribune Center Forum about the role of journalism in climate change. The event was hosted by ISEN, Medill and the Northwestern Energy and Sustainability Consortium (NESC).
