SEED's Fall Speaker, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. spoke to a full house at Northwestern's
Cahn Auditorium. Mr. Kennedy's speech, entitled "The Green Gold Rush", explored
sustainable business and energy independence as keys to economic revitalization.

One Book Garden Project - Fall Ground Preparation - October 27, 2009
In collaboration with Facilities Management and Norris Center, One Book One Northwestern
has undertaken the planting of a vegetable garden on the south lawn of Norris. Students,
faculty, and staff all participated in clearing and preparing the ground before
winter.

Inauguration of Morton O. Schapiro - October 9, 2009
Northwestern celebrated the Inauguration of Northwestern's 16th President, Morton
O. Schapiro, at SPAC. In the morning, Thomas Friedman sat on an Energy & Sustainability
panel with ISEN co-director Mark Ratner, and gave the afternoon's keynote speech.
